Pirate Day

Yesterday, the Year 2 area was overrun by a hoard of pirates!

The children had a fantastic day which started with some pirate songs and sea shanties.

After this, the children found out about pirate punishments and worked out that many of the punishments involved being under the sea.

The children thought about creating an under the sea scene using paints.

First they found out how to make secondary colours by mixing primary colours.

After creating their secondary colours, the children explored the art of three different artists. They decided what they liked and didn’t like and then used these ideas to create their own piece of art work.
