Art day!

To end our topic about the Iroquois and USA, year 4 made moccasins and totem poles to display around the classroom. All the children designed a totem pole then were able to choose the best section to paint, using different brush strokes and mixing colours. The finished pole from 4L can be seen in the photo below. The children also enjoyed making the moccasins (shoes) as they were able to sew the fabric together. This was a difficult task but after the needles had been threaded, the children found it really enjoyable! All the teachers in year 4 were very impressed with how sensible the children were when completing this task. The finished products were amazing!
